Well it’s been since this summer when I last posted on my
blog. Seems like life has just been so
busy. I have been sewing like crazy lately even with my busy schedule just not
writing about it.
I have quite a few things to share with you. I have been
trying all year to finish up some of my very old UFO’s. This quilt was started over two years
ago. It was paper pieced from a jelly
roll it’s soft and feminine and I’m glad that I finished it. This quilt will be finding a home with my cousin.
Next I finished my Chateau Hexagon quilt this is just a
wonderful design and I could not love it more. It’s hanging in my family
room. I did a lot of eco quilting around
the embroidery. I always have a hard
time deciding what to do around embroidery, but I like the way this turned out.
Thirdly I finished my Betsy’s Closet quilt I started this
two years ago everyone was stitching this together I completed the block
quickly but then decided to do an embroidery border that took me quite some
time to complete. Then it sat for the
last year waiting to be quilted. Now that it’s complete it’s hanging in my
sewing room and I can really enjoy this. The back ground quilting took forever
but I’m glad that I did the small basket weave design.
Finally I started a new quilt Annabelle’s Adventures this is
designed by a fellow blogger Michele Marll.
I’m using this pattern to teach two friend of mine how to do applique. I just
have the first three done and my students are still working on the first
block. I hope to get started on the next
three soon.
Well I’m so happy to post some of my completed work I hope
you all have a great week.
Regards,
Lisa Mortell
