WOW – July 6, 2016

I thought I would start off by showing you all the last cake I made for my son’s girlfriend birthday.  It was chocolate cake with berry pie filling oh so yummy!!!

So a few weeks I started this great project that was on the Moda Bakeshop website.  The quilt designer is Pamela Jane Morgan.  The blocks are so adorable I can’t seem to get enough of them.  She is releasing them two a week and I’m having a hard time every week waiting for the next blocks.

I also made some pillows for my daughter’s sofa and for her bed I like the way they turned out.

Lastly I made a block for an exchange for one of my quilt guilds.  I used one of the splendid sampler quilt block patterns with my own design.  I think she will like it.

I’m off to Chicago next week for vacation should be a fun time.

Happy July 1st

Hard to believe I haven’t posted to my blog since March.  My daughter moved into her condo the end of March and my dad, husband and I took about two weeks off work to fix her place up we pretty much completely redid the kitchen. Everything turned out really nice and my daughter is doing great having her own independence.  I have really missed her we are so close and not seeing her every day is hard.

I have continued to work on my Jennifer Reynold’s BOM they are all such sweet patterns to stich this will be a nice quilt when it’s done.

I also started last year’s BOM from Sue Spargo called Folk-tails.  I had so much on my plate last year with my son’s wedding and our 5 months of remodeling I never got a chance to start it.  Sue has published her pattern so the nice thing about waiting is I can post photo on my blog as I finish the blocks.  I have the first 6 block completed and this is really going to be a special quilt.

I’m looking forward to the 4th of July holiday.  Hope everyone has a wonderful week.
