Saturday I had the pleasure of attending a quilting class form
Cindy Needham. It was feathers and backgrounds.
It was a wonderful experience and I quilted feathers that I thought I could
never do. She is a wonderful teacher and
a very nice lady. This is my sample that
I did in class.
I finished the next two Dr. Who blocks. How much fun are these.

I am in awwwww with those feathers. Did you draw them first. I see she has a class on Craftsy I wonderful if it is for long arm machines.

Bunny I only marked the spine and then just freeformed stiched the feathers. I used my Bernina. I think Cindy only used a domestic no long arms.
Deletewonderful quilting, lucky you to do a class with Cindy, i love her work from afar
ReplyDeleteVery nice, you did a wonderful job
ReplyDeleteWOW look at those feathers so 3D making those wee gaps between the feathers gives a real shaded area and makes them pop. Your sample is beautiful, she must be a very good teacher; thanks for sharing and I hope you use your sample some where or frame it as is. Cheers Glenda

ReplyDeleteI love those Dr. Who blocks. Since you come up as "no reply," thank you for your comment on my blog post. The baby quilt was a fun easy quilt to make and a total surprise for the recipient.
ReplyDeleteI was tempted by the Dr. Who blocks, but decided against them. Great background. I have a passion for feathers. Seems like a great class.
