WOW – April 23, 2014

I have two items to share this week.  I finished the top for Megan’s quilt.  I’m going on vacation on Friday so I will be quilting this when I get back.

Second I finished this block. It’s defiantly going slow I think it will take me three years to finish this quilt at the rate I’m going.

Well I’m off to Maui can’t wait for the warm weather.

WOW April 9, 2014

I wanted to start by thanking everyone for their comments on that costumes the Chloe and I made.  I made sure and told Chloe about all the great comments and praise she received.
Last week I spent a lot of time just catching up on my housework, laundry and ironing. I did spend a few hours doing hand work and I’m almost done with the second block of the needle turn quilt I’m working on.  I should have it done by next week.
I got about three hours in on Megan’s quilt (germs and viruses) I have one block done and many others started. I ran out of my background fabric but have some on the way.  I hope to get in at least a few hours on this tomorrow.

Last night I had a big surprise we announced the winners from the guild quilt show and my quilt "Little Birds" that I made for my daughter-in-law to be won best in it's category and I also won best interpretation of the show's theme with was "Our wild quilt garden". It's always fun to win a ribbon.

Hope everyone has a great and productive week.

WOW – April 1, 2014

Emerald City Comic Con was so much fun!  Saturday Chloe was not feeling well so we did not were our costumes until Sunday it turns out it was really good thing because we could not get from place to place without having someone want to take our photos.  In all honestly I don’t think I have ever had my photo taken so many times.  The wig was really uncomfortable it was so long and heavy that the wig clips were pulling my hair the entire time.  That’s ok it was worth it especially when the little kids would run up to us so excited to see Merida and her mom.

You can see we made all kinds of friends.

Well now I can get back to quilting.

Have a great week.

Regards,

Lisa
