I have had a very productive sewing week yesterday was
Martin Luther King Jr. day and I had the day off from work so I spent the all
day Sunday and Monday sewing that doesn’t happen that often. I have
been working on a baby quilt for a very dear friend she picked the fabric out
of my stash but other than that the quilt will be a surprise and I will give it
to her at her baby shower in about three week.
She also wanted me to teach her to sew so I decided that a matching bed
skirt for the crib was an easy project that we could accomplish. You forget how long it takes to get anything
done when you are teaching someone and having them do all of it so they can
really learn. We spent about 5 hours on Saturday
and got the bed skirt a little over half done.
She is doing a good job I’m having her line it so it has a more
substantial look to it. We are also going to make some bomber pads too.
I also started a new BOM from Jenny Reynold of Elfantz Designs this will be sweet. This photo shows my first block and the other fabric I'm going to use for the sashing and the border. I have had this fabric for a white now just itching for some project that would do it justice. I think this is it.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Absolutely adorable, darling baby quilt. I think I'll copy your ideas, so incredibly sweet.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilting, and they are two gorgeous projects you are working on! I shall be back to see how you get on with them both!
