WOW June 19, 2013

Today my blog post is extra special because this is my oldest work-in-progress and I’m very proud of my progress.  Last Saturday my two oldest children graduated from college. My son Ian (22) graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor in computer engineering.  My daughter Chloe (19) graduated from Seattle Center with an associated in applied science in garment apparel design and development.  Needless to say I’m so proud of them my heart could burst out of my chest.  I love them both so much no mother could ask for better children.

Most of last week was dedicated to helping my daughter with her final line presentation she did a great job.  Below are the photos of the display.  I will post more photos from the photo shot with the model soon.

The other big task I has this week was preparing all the food for the graduation party Sunday.  I made so many meatballs & stuffed shells we had about 45 guests and the party was really fun.

The only sewing that I managed to get done was my fifth Dr. Who block.

We are off to Hawaii in three day for a family vacation to celebrate our three kid’s great accomplishments.  I will not have a WOW post next week because we will be gone and I’m not bringing a computer.  I just what to say how excited I am for Ester’s new BOM and all the great energy it’s created.  Hopefully the first instructions will be out by the time I get back.

A great learning experience.

Saturday I had the pleasure of attending a quilting class form Cindy Needham. It was feathers and backgrounds.  It was a wonderful experience and I quilted feathers that I thought I could never do.  She is a wonderful teacher and a very nice lady.  This is my sample that I did in class.

I finished the next two Dr. Who blocks.  How much fun are these.
